New handprinted wooden charms

I've printed these wooden charms some time back and haven't got the time to turn them into bookmarks (Please view my other bookmarks here). On it is the old Chinese word for Books, and i think they'll be perfect for marking pages!

These tags are pretty small, only about as big as a thumb. Has anyone got any ideas what else i can make with them apart from the bookmarks? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Could you coat them with a varnish, resin or lacquer, drill a tiny hole at the rounded end and use them as components in earrings. I could perhaps picture them used in a fan necklace along with some other oriental type beads and findings.

  2. Thank you for your reply! The charms are actually spray painted with clear acrylic coating to keep the impression on. I'm not quite sure what a fan necklace is though... Off to googling it! Thank you so much for the idea!

  3. Cool. Maybe somehow glue them together to make a flower? I like almost's suggestion though.

  4. I think you should keep them until you have time to make them into bookmarks. I have just looked at your bookmarks on etsy and they are lovely!
